2025 Top Week 7 NFL Performances by Players from West

Each week, we highlight the region’s best pro performances from the standout alumni veterans and rookies

Here are my choices for the best of them.


Top NFL Performances

1. Bo Nix, QB, Broncos/Oregon

Bo Nix had himself a game on Sunday—well, really, he had himself a fourth quarter.

Bo NixBo NixAgainst the Giants, the former Duck threw for 249 and two touchdowns and ran for 48 yards with a pair of scores as Denver scored 33 fourth-quarter points in the comeback victory.

Those 33 points were tied for the second-highest scoring final quarter in NFL history.

Nix became the first player in NFL history with two touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns in a fourth quarter.

2. Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers/Stanford

In San Francisco’s win over Atlanta, the back totaled 201 scrimmage yards with 129 on the ground and two scores to go along with 72 receiving yards on seven receptions.

He is the first running back in NFL history with at least 50 receiving yards in each of his team’s first seven games.

3. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Steelers/Cal

Aaron RodgersAaron RodgersRodgers threw for 249 yards and four TDs in the Steelers’ loss to Cincinnati on Thursday Night.

Those 249 yards marked a new season high for passing yards for the veteran out of Cal.

It was the second time this season he has thrown four TDs in a game and the 36th time in his career that he has tossed at least four touchdowns in a contest.

That’s the third most games in NFL history.

4. Davante Adams, WR, Rams/Fresno State

Adams caught just five passes for 35 yards in the Rams’ win over the Jags in London, but he made them count.

Adams is the first wide receiver and second player ever with three touchdown receptions in an international game.

This was the 25th time in his career that the former Bulldog caught at least two TD passes, the sixth most of any player in the Super Bowl era.

5. Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers/Oregon

Herbert completed 37 of 55 pass attempts (67.3 percent) for 420 yards and three touchdowns in Justin Herbert 2Justin Herbert 2the Los Angeles loss to the Colts on Sunday.

This was the former Oregon stars’ 30th career game with at least 300 passing yards, and he is the fourth player all-time with 30 such games in his first six career seasons.

He now has 2,128 career completions, tied with Peyton Manning for the most completions by a player in his first six season.

6. DeForest Buckner, DT, Colts/Oregon

DeForest BucknerDeForest BucknerBuckner caused all kinds of problems for his fellow Oregon alum Justin Herbert.

The former Duck collected a pair of sacks in the Colts’ win, a new season-high in sacks and his highest total since week 5 of 2022.

He ended the game with five total tackles and two additional TFLs to go along with the two sacks and four QB hits.

7. Trey McBride, TE, Cardinals/Colorado State

Trey McBride registered 10 receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the Cardinals loss to Trey McBride mugTrey McBride mugGreen Bay.

It was the sixth time in his career that the former CSU star has recorded at least 10 receptions in a game, the most such games by a tight end in his first four seasons in NFL history.

McBride has 268 receptions since entering the NFL in 2022, the second-most receptions by a tight end in his first four seasons in NFL history, trailing only Jimmy Graham’s 301.

8. DaRon Bland, CB, Cowboys/Fresno State

DaRon BlandDaRon BlandThe former Bulldog collected seven tackles for Dallas in their win over Washington on Sunday.

Bland also picked off his first pass since Week 12 of the 2023 season. That one was also against Washington, and like that one, it was also a pick-six.

In 2023 he returned it 63 yards to the house. This week, he returned a an errant Marcus Mariota pass 32 yards for the score.

9. Nate Landman, LB, Rams/Colorado

Landman is putting together a career season in 2025, and he continued his strong play in London in Week 7.

In the Rams’ win over the Jags, the former Buff collected nine tackles with 1.5 sacks, another tackle for loss, and an additional pressure of Trevor Lawrence.

10. Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Jaguars/Colorado (R)

Travis HunterTravis HunterThe Heisman Trophy winner from a season ago had his most productive game as a professional in London.

The former two-way star for Colorado found the endzone for the first time in the NFL.

He also led the Jags with eight receptions and the touchdown.

11. Jordan Addison, WR, Vikings/USC

Jordan AddisonJordan AddisonThe former Trojan had his best performance of the season in the Vikings loss to Philadelphia.

He led Minnesota with nine receptions for 128 yards.

He played 67 snaps on offense and just 14 on defense but did manage to break up one pass.

12. Cam Skattebo, RB, Giants/Arizona State (R)

Cam SkatteboCam SkatteboThe rookie from ASU ran for 60 yards and caught three passes for another 34 yards in the Giants loss to the Broncos.

One of the three receptions was a TD, the first receiving TD of his NFL career.

This was the fifth consecutive game he has tallied at least 90 scrimmage yards in a game.


Other Notable Veteran and Rookie Performers

Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers/Cal—11 receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown in the Charger loss to Indianapolis. Allen is the third player in NFL history with at least 10 receptions and 100 receiving yards in 20 career games.

Isaiah Polo-Mao, S, Raiders/USC—tallied 10 tackles, his highest output of the season and just the second time in his four-year career he has posted double digit tackles.

Tez Johnson, WR, Buccaneers/Oregon (R)—had 58 yards on 4 receptions and the lone touchdown for the Bucs in the loss to the Lions.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions/USC—6 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Bucs.

Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks/UCLA—12 carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Texans.

Ty Okada, S, Seahawks/Montana State—9 tackles, 6 solo with a sack of C.J. Stroud and one pass defended.

Dalton Schultz, TE, Texans/Stanford—led the team with 9 receptions for 98 yards in the loss to the Seahawks.
