READY OR NOT: HERE I COME (2026): Horror Sequel Wraps Filming and Sets Release Date

Samara Weaving Ready Or Not

Ready or Not 2 Sets Theatrical Release Date

An April 10, 2026 release date has been set for the sequel to 2019’s hit horror film from Searchlight, Ready or Not.

Ready or Not: Here I Come is the official title of the sequel to the 2019 sleeper hit, Ready or Not. This follow-up film has wrapped production and is slated to come out in theaters on April 10, 2026. In this new picture, star Samara Weaving is joined by top-flight performers such as Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Elijah Wood and filmmaker turned actor David Cronenberg (The Fly). All the ingredients are in place for a new and frightening tale of terror from “Radio Silence” team members, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.

April is almost the perfect time to release a horror movie as evidenced by the release of the older 2024 Radio Silence movie, Abigail. That film made $25 million domestically which is just $3 million shy of the final box-office tally of the 2019 hit original movie, Ready or Not. Ready or Not: Here I Come is most likely expecting to earn upwards of $30-$35 million domestically thanks to the exciting addition of “Buffy,” herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kathryn Newton of Lisa Frankenstein fame to the cast.

In the 2019 original Ready or Not film, Weaving played Grace, an unsuspecting woman who meets a new family through marriage which threatens her existence through a deadly game of “hide and seek” in an over-sized mansion-type home one eventful and scary night. This film had a modest budget and proved to be one of the more successful horror entries of its time earning a “B+” CinemaScore grade from its opening night crowd.

This new project should have all the things that horror fans come to expect from a sequel of this sort and promises to be a thrill ride in the vein of the original picture. With its solidified April 10, 2026 release date, many expect this movie to be a box-office hit because of the fact that the original has garnered an even stronger fan base since it was first released. That’s in part due to the 2020 pandemic which helped make the original movie become a film many people caught up to while in quarantine on streaming sites and/or on discs.

Samara Weaving is an actress to contend with and has a diverse resume of past projects that include the big-budgeted Babylon and her small role in the hit, Scream VI, which was also from the filmmakers known as Radio Silence. Of course, the success of Ready or Not: Here I Come will all depend on whether or not it’s as tense and as scary as the 2019 original which featured a great set of supporting performers such as Andie MacDowell. With Radio Silence directing the original actress, Weaving, in the new picture and other big stars in place for supporting roles, expect good things to happen when the new sequel opens at theaters nationwide in April 2026.
