No Truth To SRK–Mythri Collaboration Rumours: Sources Set The Record Straight
Shah Rukh Khan is again in the eye of a huge speculation storm, with recent media reports suggesting that he is “in talks” with Mythri Movie Makers for a big film after finishing King. However, as per sources close to the actor himself, there is no such collaboration confirmed or even under discussion.
All Focus on King till 2026
A source close to the industry told Pinkvilla that Shah Rukh Khan is clearly trying to focus 100 per cent of his energy on King, the much-anticipated action film directed by Siddharth Anand.
“Shah Rukh Khan is currently focused and putting all his energies on King. He will take a call on his next after King by the end of this year. He hasn’t done any meeting with Mythri, so the concept of greenlighting a script doesn’t even come into play.”
The source further clarified that SRK will likely finish King somewhere in Q1 2026, and only from there will he actively get into discussions about his next film.
No Script from Mythri on the Table
Mythri Movie Makers are not only one of, but one of the most well-known production houses in the South and even more so after blockbusters such as Pushpa and Srimanthudu — but the question of it with Shah Rukh Khan all sounds a little dubious at the moment.
“There are many scripts, many films being offered, and SRK will make a call on his next films towards the end of 2025. Interestingly, none of them are by Mythri,” the source clarified.
So what is King about?
In all indirectness, King is probably one of the largest and most ambitious projects on SRK’s slate. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film casts him for the second time with Deepika Padukone and, in the process, reveals Suhana Khan‘s debut in a packed action scene.

The film is mounting on a big scale and will also see SRK in a gangster character like Don but a more massy and grounded role, featuring high-octane action sequences and dramatic tension as the stakes get higher.

Box Office Worldwide Verdict
While it is a given SRK fans want to see him work with some of the top banners all across India, the gossip about Mythri Movie Makers is a little too premature.
SRK’s only focus at this time is King, and given the scale of that project, it is reasonable to expect any announcements related to his next project only after its release.
