There is only one way Prince Harry can earn forgiveness from the royal family, and it might be very painful for him.
The ongoing conflict between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, remains a major issue for everyone involved. After years of public disagreements and private struggles, a former royal staff member has pointed out the one clear way to fix the relationship.
This solution requires Prince Harry to do something difficult: he must offer a full and honest apology to his family members, including both King Charles and Prince William. According to Express, experts say this is the only real chance to heal the broken relationship, even though it would be very hard for Prince Harry and could come at a high personal cost.
A former Buckingham Palace press secretary explained that some events are too big to ignore or forget. Specifically, they mentioned a major television interview, several hours of streaming content that criticized the Royal Family, and Prince Harry’s memoir. These public statements, which included personal complaints and private family details, had a serious impact. Because of their significance, they cannot be dismissed without a proper response.
Prince Harry needs to say he’s sorry, or he’ll never get forgiveness
The seriousness of these past actions means Prince Harry must make a direct and meaningful effort to make things right, showing that he understands how much his words hurt his family. However, this could leave a rift with Meghan and Prince Harry, as the pair have been mostly unapologetic over how they left the royal family. This could hurt Meghan’s many brands and public perception.
The distance between the two royal brothers grew much wider after Prince Harry decided to leave his royal duties in 2020. This decision led to a period of increasing public statements and revelations from Prince Harry, which made the relationship even colder. These actions included several interviews where he made accusations against the royal family, as well as the release of his autobiography, which shared his personal views on family conflicts.
All of these public disclosures have created a deep divide that, according to royal experts, cannot be fixed unless Prince Harry openly acknowledges the hurt he has caused. The demand for a formal apology shows just how serious the royal family views Prince Harry’s actions. For him, giving such an apology would mean facing everything he has publicly said about the Royal Family since stepping back from his role. This is seen as the only way he might “win William over” and start the long process of rebuilding trust.
A sincere apology would require him to admit the pain and trouble his words and actions have caused, especially to those closest to him in the family.
Prince William’s current attitude toward his brother is described as very closed off, meaning he has little interest in talking or making peace. Prince Harry’s actions have caused deep hurt, and Prince William is not willing to engage with him right now.
