Tensions have escalated dramatically after comedian Kapil Sharma‘s Canadian eatery, Kap’s Café, was attacked with gunfire for the second time in a single month. Hours after the incident, the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, issuing a chilling new threat that links the attack directly to superstar Salman Khan and puts the entire Bollywood industry on notice.
“Will Be Responsible For Their Own Death”: Gang Issues Direct Threat
The motive behind the attack was made clear in an audio recording that has since surfaced online. In the clip, a man identifying himself as Harry Boxer from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang openly takes credit for the shooting. He alleges that Kapil Sharma was targeted specifically because of his association with Salman Khan, who the gang considers their “arch-enemy,” citing that Sharma had invited the actor for the inauguration of his Netflix show.
The message then pivots to a broader, more sinister warning. Boxer states that the gang will not spare any Bollywood actor, filmmaker, or producer who chooses to work with Salman Khan in the future. He is heard declaring that anyone who collaborates with the superstar “will be responsible for their own death,” promising to unleash a wave of fear across Mumbai’s entertainment industry.
A Pattern Of Violence
This latest incident marks a dangerous escalation. The first attack on Kap’s Café in Surrey, Canada, took place on July 8. The second occurred exactly one month later, on August 7. In both instances, the Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility, stating that the comedian had ignored their previous calls and warnings.
Security footage from the most recent attack reportedly shows an armed individual firing multiple rounds at the eatery. Images from the scene confirm that the café’s windows were shattered by at least half a dozen bullets. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in either of the attacks. As of now, Kapil Sharma has not released an official statement addressing the repeated attacks or the direct threats against him and the film community.
