Two female Brit tourists, 26 & 27, in intensive care with horror injuries after being run over in Ibiza during 2am walk

TWO Brit holidaymakers have been rushed to intensive care after being run over in Ibiza.

The two women aged 26 and 27, suffered traumatic brain injuries and broken bones in the horror incident.

One is in intensive care at the the private Nuestra Senora del Rosario Polyclinic.

The other victim is at Ibiza’s main Can Misses state hospital.

The horror incident occurred around 2am this morning on the road that links Ibiza Town to San Antonio.

This area is known locally as Can Guillemo.

The 24-year-old driver of the Toyota Corolla that hit them is believed to have stopped and passed a drink-drive test.

However, it was not immediately clear this morning if he was also tested for drugs.

Commenting on the victims’ conditions, a spokesman for the Civil Guard said: “Both are British and both are serious.

“They were pedestrians who were run over by a 24-year Spaniard at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla. One is 26 and the other is 27.

“The incident happened at 1.50am on the El-600 road between Ibiza and San Antonio in the municipality of San Antonio.”

Can Misses has not yet commented on the shocking incident.

But the private clinic where the younger of the two women was admitted just before 3.45am this morning has commented.

A spokesperson said: “She is currently in the intensive Care Unit with head trauma, chest trauma and rib fractures, broken right tibia and fibula bones, a fracture of the left fibula, and multiple contusions.”
