“Capital1 Solar Spikers have appointed Jorge De Brito, current head coach of Alas Pilipinas, as their franchise head coach,” the team announced Monday.
“Roger Gorayeb will now transition to a new role as team consultant.”
There have now been three coaching changes in the league in just a span of a month with Italian coach Alessandro Lodi now running the show at Farm Fresh and Tina Salak succeeding Taka Minowa at Akari.
De Brito, who calls the shots for the Alas Pilipinas women’s national team, will be handling his second PVL club. He coached the Akari Chargers for four seasons before stepping down in December 2023.
