Actor Pays Courtesy Visit To Lieutenant Governor, Receives A Special Gift

Superstar Salman Khan is currently stationed in the picturesque landscapes of Ladakh for the shoot of his highly anticipated upcoming film, Battle of Galwan. Amid his packed shooting schedule, the actor took a moment to pay a courtesy visit to the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, at his official residence.

The meeting took place at Raj Niwas in Leh on Saturday, and the heartfelt moments were shared with the public through social media, quickly going viral among fans.

A Special Visit At Raj Niwas

Photos from the meeting, which surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), showed the beloved Sultan actor looking casual and comfortable in a blue shirt and denim jeans, sharing a warm smile with the Lieutenant Governor. The official X handle for the Office of the Lt. Governor of Ladakh also shared the news, posting, “Bollywood icon Salman Khan paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor Shri @KavinderGupta at the Raj Niwas, #Leh.”

A Traditional Thangka Painting for Bhaijaan

As a token of appreciation and warm welcome, Salman Khan was presented with a beautiful and culturally significant gift. The Lieutenant Governor gifted him a Thangka Canvas painting, a traditional form of Buddhist art. These intricate paintings typically depict scenes from the life of the Buddha or other important deities and are considered highly auspicious. The gesture was a wonderful display of Ladakh’s rich heritage and hospitality.

Glimpse From The Sets

Just a few days ago, Salman himself treated his fans to a behind-the-scenes picture from the film’s set. The photo showed him peeking through a clapperboard while dressed in combat fatigues. Eagle-eyed fans noted the authenticity of his uniform, which featured the old Personal Camouflage Disruptive Pattern Material (PC DPM). This specific camouflage was in use during the 2020-2021 period of the actual Galwan stand-off, showing the film’s detailed attention to historical accuracy. The Indian Army unveiled its new digital camouflage uniform in January 2022.

The film itself is based on the intense 2020 confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. Himesh Reshammiya has been confirmed as the music composer for this patriotic drama, though a release date is yet to be announced.
