With Jolly LLB and Jolly LLB 2 emerging smash hits at the box office in India, the third part of Jolly LLB, titled Jolly LLB 3 is among the most awaited films of Hindi Cinema at the moment.
Director Subhash Kapoor has brought together Arshad Warsi (Jolly LLB) and Akshay Kumar (Jolly LLB 2) for an epic face-off in Jolly LLB 3. The film is carrying strong buzz, and the makers had announced a September 19, 2025 release for the same.
The courtroom comedy drama, directed by Subhash Kapoor, is hitting the big screens this weekend. The advance booking of Jolly LLB 3 was made open on September 15, Monday, four days before the release.
Produced by Star Studios, Jolly LLB 3 has sold over 12,500 tickets in the top three national chains- PVR Inox and Cinepolis- for the opening day, as of 11 AM, September 17. With two days still to go, the movie should aim for a big jump in sales.
The Akshay Kumar starrer comedy drama is targeting an opening in the range of Rs 12 crore to Rs 14 crore net at the Indian box office. Since Jolly LLB 3 is not frontloaded on mass factors, it is expected to see a significant growth over the weekend, depending on its spot bookings and word-of-mouth among the audience.
If the movie manages to open to a positive reception, it will see a big boost in its collections from Saturday onwards. The fate of Jolly LLB 3 is crucial for Akshay Kumar, as his last few ventures have not performed well at the box office. Though Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2 met with a positive reception, their box office performances were not very satisfying.
For the unversed, Jolly LLB 3 serves as the third installment of the popular courtroom comedy film franchise. While the pioneer film had Arshad Warsi playing the lead, the second film saw Akshay Kumar in the black coat. And now, both actors are coming to face each other in the upcoming installment.
Jolly LLB 2 also had single-digit advance bookings when it released in 2017. Yet, the film was able to collect ₹13 crore net on its opening day. Buoyed by solid word of mouth, the Akshay Kumar-starrer netted ₹117 crore in India and grossed ₹198 crore worldwide.

Jolly LLB 3 sees Jagdwishwar ‘Jolly’ Mishra defend a powerful political figure against a land-grabbing case filed by local villagers. Jagdish ‘Jolly’ Tyagi, his rival, represents the complainants. The film also brings back Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, and Amrita Rao, while adding Gajraj Rao and Seema Biswas to the cast. Jolly LLB releases in theatres on 19 September.
