BBC Film director Eva Yates, Stephan Graham, Oscar winners Mikey Madison, Kieran Culkin and Gints Zilbalodis, and filmmakers Rose Glass and Coralie Fargeat are among 534 people who have been invited to join the Academy.

The list includes Irish actor Andrew Scott, British luminaries Jodie Comer, Emma Corrin and Adam Pearson, as well as Fernanda Torres, Jeremy Strong and Sebastian Stan. Directors Jane Schoenbrun, Halina Reijn, Mamadou Dia, Emily Atef, and freshly anointed Cannes special award winner Bi Gan are also invited.

Executive and producer invitees include marketing veteran Heta Paarte from FilmNation, sales heads Andrew Herwitz from The Film Sales Company and Kristen Figeroid from Neon, Universal EVP global communications and media relations Evan Langweiler, Neon head Tom Quinn, Good Chaos founder Mike Goodridge, and Mubi chief content officer Jason Ropell.

If all 2025 invitees accept membership – and the overwhelming majority do – they will increase the Academy’s total membership including Emeritus to 11,120, and the number of voting members to 10,143.

In that case, membership will comprise 35% women, 22% from underrepresented communities, and 21% international.

Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy president Janet Yang said, “Through their commitment to filmmaking and to the greater movie industry, these exceptionally talented individuals have made indelible contributions to our global filmmaking community.”
