Coldplay kiss cam ‘mistress’ quits Astronomer after ‘cheating scandal’ – days after CEO Andy Byron also stood down

ASTRONOMER’S HR supremo Kristin Cabot has resigned from her position at the tech firm following the Coldplay kiss cam scandal.

Ms Cabot and her former boss Andy Byron were caught off guard when their grinning faces flashed up on a big screen in front of 55,000 people at Boston’s Gillette Stadium.

A staffer for Astronomer told TMZ: “Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer, she’s resigned.”

It comes just days after Mr Byron resigned from his role after “failing to meet company standards”.

The company said in a statement: “As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.

“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”

Mr Byron and Ms Cabot – who both have families of their own – were seen rushing for cover after being left red-faced in the packed stadium.

They were caught canoodling in front of thousands of fans who came over to attend the Coldplay concert.

And their reaction to being filmed caught the world’s attention – with millions now talking about the alleged affair.

Mr Byron and Ms Cabot’s expressions appeared to show guilt and have since gone viral online with speculation that the HR chief is the tech boss’ “mistress”.

A chorus of laughter echoed around the jam-packed stadium when Viva la Vida singer Chris Martin – without knowing who they were – quipped: “Oh what… either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”

They have both dropped off the radar after their cosy embrace went viral, sparking a riot of memes online.

Meanwhile, Mr Byron’s wife is said to be keeping a low profile at her family’s $2.4million mansion following the scandal.

Megan Kerrigan has so far kept quiet – but she seemingly confirmed the cheating allegations against her husband by removing his surname from her Facebook profile name.

She is now said to be lying low with her family members, including her elder sister Maura, at her family’s grand mansion in Maine.

It is understood that many family members visited the four-bedroom, four-bathroom property over the weekend.

But it is unclear if Mr Byron came to speak to his wife following the Coldplay gig.

Within hours of the footage going viral, supporters flooded Ms Kerrigan’s Facebook – cheering her for quietly removing “Byron” from her name before deleting her account altogether.

Her Instagram also disappeared.

One X user said: “Andy Byron‘s wife has now dropped her married name on Facebook and left comments open on her Facebook!

Another person wrote: “What a class act! Go Megan. Get that divorce lawyer and get the money.”

The spectacle came just months after Ms Cabot took out a $1.6million mortgage on a house she purchased with her husband Andrew – a sixth-generation heir to the Privateer Rum fortune.

Documents obtained by The U.S. Sun show the couple took out a mammoth loan on the house with Morgan Stanley, and both of their names are on paperwork for the mortgage.

The residence is located just two miles from the beach and was sold “as is” as the home “needs rehab.”

It sits on 1.42 acres, with fruit trees, berry bushes, and pastoral views.

They are yet to be seen in public since the clip went viral, and it is not known whether or not they have split.

A mortgage could make any divorce messy, as both parties will be responsible for payments, regardless of who lives in the house.

According to Mr Byron’s now-deleted LinkedIn, he had been the CEO of software development company Astronomer – understood to be worth more than $1.3 billion (£1 billion) – since July 2023.

The CEO gushed: “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory.”

Ms Calbot released a similarly enthusiastic comment, saying she thought the “real magic happens when you align the people strategy with the business strategy.”

On her now-deleted LinkedIn, she boasted: “I lead by example and win trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to managers to assistants.”
