AP and NY Times reported that the accident happened around 12:30 AM. Thursday on the A-52 highway near Cernadilla, a town in northern Spain close to the Portuguese border. Jota quickly became a key player for Liverpool, helping them win the Premier League in the 2024 to 25 season, where he scored six goals in 26 league games.
