Kuberaa, featuring Dhanush and Nagarjuna, had a solid opening weekend at the box office, but it suffered a mediocre drop on the first Monday. Sekhar Kammula’s socio-political thriller earned ₹7.25 crore in India on Day 4, bringing its four-day domestic gross total to ₹60.50 crore.
En route to an additional ₹23.675 million from international markets, the worldwide box office gross is at ₹83.50 crore. Although this is a respectable number for a film of this type, the Monday result suggested that the upcoming decline might not be as clear-cut.
Day-Wise Box Office Collection in India
Day | Gross Collection |
---|---|
Friday | ₹17.00 crore |
Saturday | ₹17.75 crore |
Sunday | ₹18.50 crore |
Monday | ₹7.25 crore |
Total | ₹60.50 crore |
The weekend trend was awesome with daily growth in business that suggested positive word-of-mouth and interest from the audience. But the Monday number was lower than expected, which now puts pressure on the film to hold strong during this coming week to attain a clean HIT verdict.
Kuberaa’s Region Breakdown: Telugu Strong, Tamil Weak
The film’s Telugu version performed better and has driven most of the earnings from the Nizam and Andhra model. The Tamil version has not been able to hold and has now mostly completed its run.
Region | Gross Collection |
---|---|
AP/TS | ₹38.25 crore |
Nizam | ₹16.75 crore |
Ceded | ₹4.75 crore |
Andhra | ₹16.75 crore |
Tamil Nadu | ₹13.75 crore |
Karnataka | ₹5.50 crore |
Rest of India | ₹3.00 crore |
India Total | ₹60.50 crore |
International Performance Provides Boost
Kuberaa’s international gross, even with the disappointing Monday:
A Missed Opportunity for a Quick HIT Status?
The Monday drop is not overly alarming but is big enough to defer the box office report for Kuberaa. A ₹10 crore+ Monday would have assured its HIT status position early in the release, but now the film will have to continue its hold into the weekdays.
The Telugu market has been relatively flat since Sankranti 2025. Kuberaa was positioned in need of a box office saviour, but with the steam already fading from the film, that hope is in jeopardy.

Box Office Worldwide Verdict
Kuberaa was perfectly positioned for a post-Sankranti winner — a solid cast, strong weekend trend, and social relevance of its story. But with a Monday performance as uninspiring as it was, we now place the film in a wait-and-watch position.
While the Telugu version remains in the fight, the Tamil has fizzled out, and the upcoming weekdays will be crucial to see if this Dhanush-Nagarjuna vehicle can make the HIT status finish line or not.
