Trump tries to change the subject, but the issue still grows

Trump has tried several ways to distract the public. On Sunday, he even shared a video that showed former President Barack Obama being arrested. The video, which looked like it was made using AI, was meant to support a conspiracy theory pushed by Trump’s campaign. He also talked about renaming sports teams, such as the Cleveland Guardians and Washington Commanders, to gain attention on culture war topics.

At the same time, his critics and political opponents have raised new questions. Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democrat, said Trump was president when Epstein was charged and jailed. She added that the Trump administration should have been more open about what it knows.

Inside the MAGA movement, there is confusion. Some followers believe there is a hidden list of powerful people connected to Epstein. Earlier this year, Attorney General Pam Bondi hinted she had such a list. However, the Justice Department and FBI later said there is no proof of a client list or blackmail, after Trump performed a dramatic U-turn on his Epstein promises. They also said again that Epstein died by suicide.

The Wall Street Journal article mentioned a letter supposedly sent by Trump to Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003. The letter included a drawing of a naked woman. Trump and his lawyers say the letter is fake and have filed a $20 billion lawsuit against the paper.
