Thoughts on This Week’s In-home Releases

The home releases of Final Destination Bloodlines, Thunderbolts, Nobody, and Lilo & Stitch are the most noteworthy releases (and pre-orders) on home video and streaming services this week.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed The Phoenician Scheme and had this to say about the film:

The Phoenician Scheme is a winner, but a moderate one. It’s pretty slight at times, but it eventually has substance if you make it all the way to the end. I wish I could love Anderson every time he makes a movie and up until now, I think I always did. This time out, I just liked his picture for its ambitions rather than for its attempt at a respectable plot.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed Final Destination Bloodlines and had this to say about the film:

Nothing can top the opening scene which is so wonderfully constructed, it feels like it has a bigger budget than the other 90 minutes of the picture combined. Never toss a penny away.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed Thunderbolts and had this to say about the film:

Thunderbolts* will please Marvel fans and then some. This film balances comedy and action scenes unevenly at times, but will appeal mostly to audiences who have seen the underappreciated Black Widow from 2021.

FilmBook Writer Thomas Duffy reviewed Lilo & Stitch and had this to say about the film:

Though Stitch is underdeveloped and there are a lot of scenes that go too far (e.g. Stitch crashing a wedding when he first arrives on Earth), younger audiences may find themselves emotionally invested in this otherwise ordinary alien/human bonding family film.

FilmBook Writer Andrew Toy reviewed Nobody and had this to say about the film:
