Field player Yankees leaves the game vs. Ambulance Mariners

Seattle-The Yankees’ third base, Oswaldo Cabrera, was taken from the field in an ambulance after he injured his left ankle in the ninth round of New York’s 11-5 victory over Seattle on Monday night.

Cabrera was injured in a strange slide when she returned to the plate and marked the final yankees race in Aaron’s judge’s sacrifice fly.

Manager Aaron Boone said Cabrera put a key on his left ankle before entering the ambulance on a stretcher. Cabrera was removed to a hospital with the athletic coach of the team, Tim Lentych.

“I think everyone understands it was a very serious situation,” said Boone. “So just praying for our guy (cabrera) tonight and waiting for the best. Trust that he is in good hands while spending the night here.”

Cabrera, a 26 -year -old native from Venezuela, writhed on the floor and was low for several minutes while attending by several medical staff.

“Just before he was taken, he just called me and said, ‘Hey, I marked?'” Said the judge. “So, it just shows what kind of face he is. Something like this happens and the only thing in his mind for all the pain and everything is: ‘I marked?’

Cabrera is in her fourth MLB season and has become regular in Yankees programming. He is hitting .243 this season with a home run and 12 rbis.

“He cares about everyone in this room. He loves to be a Yankee,” said the judge. “He wears his pride shirt. This is difficult, especially a guy who shouted his whole life and finally had the opportunity to be our daily guy and standing out.”
