Former U.K. PE teacher busted for explicit abuse of three students – We Got This Covered

A former secondary school PE teacher in England has been charged with a string of sexual offenses involving three underage students.

According to the BBC, Bronwen James, now 29, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court in July, where she faced 13 charges related to sexual abuse and exploitation of pupils aged 14, 15, and 16. James taught at Hardenhuish School in Chippenham and Bitterne Park School in Southampton during the time of the alleged offenses.

James’ charges include both boys and girls

According to Wiltshire Police, James is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, both of whom were students at the time. She is also charged with engaging in sexual communication with a girl between the ages of 13 and 15 and creating an indecent image of a child.

“The charges relate to incidents that are alleged to have taken place while she was employed as a teacher,” Wiltshire Police said in a statement. “Due to the nature of this case, we would urge people not to speculate online or on social media to avoid prejudicing any future legal proceedings.”

James has not yet entered a plea

In court, James spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth, and address. She was granted conditional bail, including requirements that she not contact any of the complainants and avoid unsupervised contact with anyone under 16.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police told The Sun that the alleged abuse spanned three years. James is due to appear next at Salisbury Crown Court on August 7, where the court is expected to begin formal proceedings and potentially set a trial date.

The allegations have drawn widespread attention due to the position of trust James held during her time as a teacher. Under UK law, educators are held to a strict professional code, particularly concerning student safeguarding.

No further details about the alleged incidents have been released. Authorities have asked that anyone with relevant information contact them directly and avoid posting online speculation that could disrupt the legal process. The case remains under active investigation.
