Futsal World Cup takes center stage at PSA Forum

Philippine Football Federation president John Gutierrez and Isabella Fernando, head of government relations for the Fifa Futsal Women’s World Cup local organizing committee, will appear in Tuesday’s Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum to discuss preparations for the historic staging of the sport’s inaugural global showcase.

The first-ever Fifa Women’s Futsal World Cup will take place from Nov. 21 to Dec. 7, with the top 16 national teams competing in matches to be held in Pasig City and Victorias City, Negros Occidental.

The session begins at 10:30 a.m. at the conference hall of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and will be livestreamed on the PSA’s official Facebook page (fb.com/PhilippineSportswritersAssociation).

Chengdu medalists

Also invited are select members of the Philippine delegation to the recently concluded World Games in Chengdu, China, including silver medalist Kaila Napolis of jiujitsu.

Presented by San Miguel Corporation, the Philippine Sports Commission, the Philippine Olympic Committee, Milo, Smart/PLDT and Arena Plus, the PSA Forum is a weekly gathering of sports personalities hosted by the country’s oldest media organization.

Radyo Pilipinas 2 will also air the session on a delayed basis and post it on its Facebook page, Radyo Pilipinas 2 Sports.
