The Film That Never Happened With Shah Rukh Khan
Vishal Bhardwaj said that he and Shah Rukh Khan had planned to make a movie together. But they had a small disagreement that stopped the film. Vishal wanted the story to be set in a bank. He told Mid-Day, “That’s where we disagreed.”
He explained that Shah Rukh Khan wanted a different location for the film. The director said that both of them feel sad that the movie was never made. He also shared, “Even now… whenever we meet, either on his birthday or at some public function, we always say that we have to do a film together.”
Why A Movie With Aamir Khan Was Stopped
Vishal also talked about a movie he had planned with Aamir Khan, which was called Mr. Mehta and Mrs. Singh. This movie was stopped because they both had very different creative ideas for the story.
“He wanted that changed, and I felt that was the core of the story. Without it, I didn’t want to make the film,” Vishal explained. Because they could not agree on this very important part, Vishal decided not to make the movie.
How Saif Ali Khan Became The Famous ‘Langda Tyagi’
Many people do not know that Saif Ali Khan was not the first choice for the famous role of Langda Tyagi in the movie Omkara. Vishal revealed that Aamir Khan was first interested in the role, but he was too busy to do it at that time.
Vishal then saw Saif’s work in the movie Dil Chahta Hai and was very impressed. He felt Saif had a “fire” inside him and had changed a lot as an actor. The only problem was that Saif did not want to cut his hair for the role. Vishal said it took a lot of talking to convince him, but in the end, Saif did everything that was asked of him and more.
What’s Next For The Director
Vishal Bhardwaj is now getting ready to work on his next movie, which is titled Arjun Ustara. He is working with Shahid Kapoor again for this film. The movie also stars Triptii Dimri in the lead role.
