Jeethu Joseph Confirms Story For Hindi and More

Drishyam’s saga will ultimately reach its denouement in a truly great, multilingual fashion.

Filmmaker Jeethu Joseph has confirmed that Drishyam 3, the much-awaited third and final chapter in the beloved suspense franchise, will be released in Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu at the same time. The main storyline will hold apart from each other, or culturally divert on elements, narratives, or interests to each respective region and audience, but at the core it will, for the most part, share the same storyline.

All Versions To Share One Plotline

In a recent interview with a press organization, Jeethu Joseph stated that the script is almost finalised and that the Malayalam (with Mohanlal), Hindi (featuring Ajay Devgn), and Telugu (Venkatesh) versions, will all have a familiar storyline.

Jeethu mentioned that the aim is to preserve the suspense and emotional weight of the story and to keep things afloat in terms of staying true to the original essence of the story, but offer setting diversions and character variations according to the local cultural understanding.

“Delaying one language version has repercussions on the reception of the other languages. So we will have versions of the film all released at the same time. But we can’t film all three versions at once; we may just run into issues with dates of principal leads,” Jeethu said in the exchange.

Production Timeline Confirmed, Shoot to Begin Post Onam 2025

Previous reports claimed a September 2025 start date, however the makers have now confirmed a shoot in October 2025, after Onam. This is substantial news, as it gives fans a timeline to anticipate.

Jeethu Joseph’s Drishyam universe has been both a critical and commercial success in more than one language. From Georgekutty (Mohanlal) to Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) to Rambabu (Venkatesh), each iteration has done a fine job utilising varying local flavours while being, seemingly, faithful to the original (and first) version.

The Final Chapter Of A Cinematic Journey

The Drishyam franchise that began in 2013, chronicles the story of an ordinary person taking preventive extreme measures to protect his family and those he loves. From the mysterious disappearance of IG Geetha Prabhakar’s son Varun, to Georgekutty’s elaborate alibis and intelligent anticipation of the prosecution’s moves, the films have been considered very smart, with some thrilling payoffs.

The second installment concluded with the typical cliff-hanger, and in the dramatic opening we learned an extraordinary twist that kept the Prime suspect once again ahead of the law and helped the story impactfully trail into the impending third installment. If sources are correct, this third installment will open all threads and wrap up the critically revered trilogy.

The notion of releasing all versions at the same time means that no audience is left out of the suspense — and no spoilers will ruin the climax. Jeethu’s careful alignment of interests and creativity across the industries puts Drishyam firmly on the Indian cinema map as a storytelling reference point.
