MANILA, Philippines—June Mar Fajardo made a fan’s wish come true despite Gilas Pilipinas’ early exit in the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup.
Fajardo met social media content creator TheSaudiPinoy in a lighthearted moment that saw the San Miguel Beer star embrace Saudi Arabian culture.

TheSaudiPinoy, known by his followers as “the OFW Stress Reliever,” gifted Fajardo a traditional Saudi Arabian clothing for the multi-titled PBA center to wear.
For the content creator, meeting Fajardo was a long time coming, having been a fan of the PBA’s GOAT for years.
“Idol June Mar Fajardo becomes Arabo! I’m so happy to see you,” wrote TheSaudiPinoy in a Facebook post. “I’ve been your fan since 2020, I’m really your number one supporter (after your mom).”

Fajardo and company bowed out of the Jeddah games after faltering to Australia in the Asia Cup’s quarterfinals on Wednesday night.
Ironically, before facing the Boomers, the Philippines had to eliminate host Saudi Arabia in the qualification stage–something that TheSaudiPinoy took in stride.
“Good luck next game, Gilas! Even though my country lost because of you, I am still your number one supporter. Next time, I want to see you (Fajardo) at a San Miguel Beermen game in the Philippines.”
