Trump’s words come back to haunt him.

Former Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger has a simple message for Donald Trump‘s followers after The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Trump sent Jeffrey Epstein a birthday drawing in 2003, signed by Trump with a simple, explicit sketch of a woman and a caption reading in part, ” … may every day be another wonderful secret.”

Meanwhile, amid widespread controversy surrounding the Trump administration’s Department of Justice memo effectively declaring the Epstein case closed, resurfaced 2006 footage from The Howard Stern Show records Stern telling Trump as he sits next to his daughter, Ivanka Trump, “You know about sexual predators and things like that,” to which Stern’s cohost Robin Quivers adds “You are one!” Donald and Ivanka laugh as Donald seems to mouth the words, “That’s true.”

“You know that he wrote the letter”

After the WSJ published its report about the alleged Trump letter, Kinzinger, an outspoken Trump critic, posted a video on X. “You know he wrote the letter,” Kinzinger said in the post. “You can pretend you don’t know,” he adds. “Now the question is, what are you actually gonna do about it?” he later says.

Trump has denied he wrote the Epstein letter or drew the picture, branding it politically motivated and fake, while threatening legal action. Epstein aside, Trump has faced over two dozen sexual misconduct allegations spanning several decades, including claims of groping, unwanted advances, and rape, all of which he has denied.

In 2023 and 2024, juries in civil trials found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll, awarding her over $80 million in damages.

Beyond the signature and the “wonderful secret” note, the alleged Trump-Epstein birthday drawing reportedly also featured a message stating, “We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.”

Trump’s WSJ response

In their report, Trump reportedly told the Journal, “This is not me. This is a fake thing. It’s a fake Wall Street Journal story. I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women… It’s not my language. It’s not my words.” The Daily Beast, however, published several confirmed Trump sketches after the WSJ article was released, contradicting part of Trump’s claim.

After the WSJ report, Trump declared in a Truth Social post he ordered his AG, Pam Bondi, to release “all pertinent grand jury testimony” related to the case, “based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein.” Bondi reshared the post on X, captioned “President Trump—we are ready to move the court tomorrow [July 18, 2025] to unseal the grand jury transcripts.”
