Poy Erram has been ruled out of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals after sustaining an injured left knee in TNT’s Game 4 loss.
Coach Chot Reyes and Erram himself confirmed the veteran center’s status after the Tropang 5G extended the series with an 86-78 victory on Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Erram got hurt during the second half of Sunday’s defeat, adding to his woes after twisting his right ankle earlier in the Finals and missing Game 3 in the process.
“I underwent an MRI [earlier this morning] it was discovered that I had a meniscal tear on my left leg,” Erram said. “For the record, I’m out for the series and I may miss about three to four months.”
The loss was a big blow for TNT, with Erram the latest to fall victim to the injury bug in this conference.
Jayson Castro and Rey Nambatac were not on the playoff roster, Simon Enciso sustained an orbital fracture during the series while Calvin Oftana, RR Pogoy, Kelly Williams and Jordan Heading are playing through injuries.
Erram’s ankle sprain came in the second half of Game 2. He had to skip Game 3 after wearing a protective boot.
He played through it in Game 4 as TNT tried to level the series, only to hurt his left knee in the second half.
Despite his absence, Williams and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser came through for TNT to deny San Miguel’s first crack at winning the crown.
