Dharma Productions & Mahaveer Jain Films have surprisingly revealed Naagzilla. With lead Kartik Aaryan playing the role of an Ichchhadhari Naag, the bizarre fantasy comedy is set to unleash in cinemas on Nag Panchami, 14 August 2026.
To your surprise, it’s true. Kartik Aaryan will be seen making his way into Indian folklore, the universe Dharma and Mahaveer Jain are building around him. The film is directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, who also directed the blockbuster franchise hit Fukrey, and scripted by Gautam Mehra.

Raashii Khanna Joins Kartik Aaryan In NaagZilla
Sources close to the project confirmed to Box Office Worldwide that the actress came on board after impressing the filmmakers with her recent performances. “Raashii has proved herself with The Sabarmati Report and Yodha, two completely different films and characters. She just signed Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur too which is completely different from her earlier work. The makers of NaagZilla felt that she would be able to hold her ground in a story which is so fun and entertaining, and bring required freshness.”
Source further added, “Raashii will get in preparation mode for the film’s shoot by end of the year. Film marks her foray into big league and her biggest Hindi film till date.” This will be again fresh pairing for Kartik after her paying opposite Sreeleela in Anurag Basu film.
NaagZilla is now officially one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of 2026 and ‘colossally’ sets the bar high for all other meetings of desi Naag Panchami and Independence Days. This film is also the second dhamaka Kartik is doing with Dharma after his first was Tu Meri Main Tera and Main Tera Tu Meri.
Kartik Aaryan’s Upcoming Films
He is currently shooting for Anurag Basu’s musical love story with Sreeleela. The film was initially titled Aashiqui 3, but the team is now working on a new name. Once he wraps up this project, he will wrap remaining portions of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, set for a Valentine’s Day 2026 release, with Ananya Panday as the female lead. After that, he will begin work on his second film NaagZilla under Dharma Productions.
Kartik also has Mudassar Aziz’s Pati Patni Aur Wo sequel in his kitty.
