Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has officially unveiled the intense first look of his upcoming war epic Battle of Galwan, sending waves of excitement through fans and the industry alike. The announcement comes just a day after the superstar dropped a cryptic photo of himself along with a motivational message that had everyone guessing.
On Thursday, Salman posted a striking picture on social media with the caption:
“Mehnat karo sahi disha mein. Unhi par woh meherbaan, aur banayega unhi ko unke hunar ka pehelwan. In English…you translate.🤷♂️
(Translation: Work hard in the right direction. He is kind only to those, and will make champions of those, who master their craft.)
This mysterious post set off speculation that the actor was gearing up to reveal a major project, and fans didn’t have to wait long for confirmation.
Battle of Galwan Motion Poster: A Glimpse Into India’s Fiercest Modern Battle
On Friday evening, Salman took to social media again to share the motion poster of Battle of Galwan, finally putting an end to the suspense. The motion poster is visually striking and begins with text that reads:
“Over 15,000 feet above sea level, India fought its most brutal battle, without firing a single bullet.”
The visuals slowly unveil Salman Khan’s intense look as an army personnel, accompanied by a powerful background score echoing “Jai Hind.” The haunting music and intense imagery instantly evoke the real-life heroism of the Galwan Valley clash of June 2020, one of the deadliest skirmishes between India and China in decades.

What We Know So Far About Battle of Galwan
The film will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for Shootout at Lokhandwala, and marks his first collaboration with Salman Khan. Salman is set to portray Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who led the 16 Bihar Regiment during the Galwan Valley clash of June 15–16, 2020. Actress Chitrangda Singh has reportedly been signed as the female lead, marking her first on-screen pairing with Salman. Production is expected to begin in July 2025 in Ladakh and Mumbai, with a planned 70-day shoot schedule. Salman is undergoing low-oxygen training to prepare for the high-altitude sequences.
