A heartwarming crossover moment for Bollywood happened when Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood’s Badshah, made a surprise guest appearance on the sets of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par. With just days to the film’s release on June 20, 2007, SRK’s surprise entry made for a made-for-the-movies memory for the cast, crew and fanbase. The never-before-seen BTS footage shared by the film’s makers depicts lots of joyful energy, laughter and the unmistakable charm of BW’s Badshah.
“Aamir Told Me 10 Times To Come”: SRK Drops By All Smiles
In the BTS video released by the production team, the cast of the film (including actors with intellectual disabilities) show disbelief, joy and excitement as Shah Rukh Khan strolls onto the set and is warmly greeted by a delighted Aamir Khan.
A laughing SRK can be heard saying:
“Aamir has told me at least 10 times to come and see the actors. I kept telling him I didn’t have time but every day I meet him he asked me to come. So here I am.”

His introduction brightened the mood as cast members erupted with joy and immediately prompted him to recite passages from his legendary movies — Darr, Chak De! India, Don, and Baazigar. SRK was gracious enough to comply, and all of the cast members were sent into a nostalgic frenzy.
SRK Does the Pose, Creates a Spark With Aamir and the Cast
Another one of the best moments in the video is SRK showing the cast his big pose with open arms, and the cast members practically lost it.
He even made some comparisons to his son Aryan when one of the actors, Simran Mangeshkar, revealed her age.
The video concludes with a heartwarming hug between Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, posing with the full cast of Sitaare Zameen Par, leaving a picture-perfect moment of Bollywood togetherness and brotherhood in action.
About Sitaare Zameen Par
Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by R S Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, is marketed as the spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par (2007).
The original instalment focused on dyslexia, and this film dives deep into the world of intellectually disabled students and sports.
Aamir Khan plays the reluctant basketball coach, and Genelia Deshmukh plays the female lead. The movie offers a story of inclusion, empathy, and transformation — and ties it all together with a stirring sports drama.
