Ajay Devgn’s Nephew Aaman Devgan & Rasha Thadani Debut in Azaad
Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Aaman Devgan, and Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, made their debut in the newly released film Azaad. While the young actors have been received enthusiastically for their performances, a shocking piece of information has come out — Aaman was not the first choice for the film.
Siddharth Nigam Was The First Choice For Azaad
In his recent interview, Siddharth Nigam’s mother revealed that her son was a choice for the lead in the film Azaad.
“I took him for the meeting. They narrated the entire script to us, and then we waited a year,” she said.
She went on to say she thought it could’ve been a strong launch for Siddharth and liked the story that was narrated as well.
But after a year, things didn’t go as they planned.
“We waited a year,” said Siddharth’s mother.
They didn’t hear anything for more than a year after the narration, and the conclusion was when Siddharth came across the poster for the film online.
“Mum, this has been released, and these are the people in the film,” Siddharth reportedly told his mother once he found out that Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani were in.
“I felt bad for the first time in my life,” she said, with some implication that it was only because they were star kids that the final cast were cast.
Siddharth Nigam’s Comments: “No point in blaming anyone, just accepting.”
In a mature and civilised fashion, Siddharth Nigam took the high road:
“There is no point in blaming anyone. It’s a part of the industry,” he said.
He admitted to feeling bad but took the experience as a moment of clarity—realising it was time to move on.
The incident speaks to a wider struggle for many non-industry actors, no matter how skilled or hard-working.
