A Taylor Swift’s gate was on Friday that an attempt to intimidate the pop star as a witness in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s case is “projected” to use the “singer’s name to attract public interest.”
TMZ reported that Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, issued a Swift subpoena in the processes involving the 2024 movie “ended with us.” Freedman did not immediately respond to a comment on Friday night.
Lively representatives also did not immediately respond to a commentary request.
Swift’s team rejected the notion that she would have some relevant information and should not be involved in the legal tangle.
“Taylor Swift never stepped on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any cast or creative decision, she did not mark the movie, she never saw an edition or did not note in the movie, she didn’t even see us weeks after her release story, and was traveling through the Globe for 2023 and 2024.
Swift made licensed songs for the movie.
“Since their involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also made, this subpoena of documents was designed to use the name of Taylor Swift to attract public interest, creating the tabloid clicks, instead of focusing on the facts of the case,” said the gate.

The legal battle between Baldoni and Lively began at the end of last year after Lively filed a civil rights complaint against her co-star and director, accusing him of sexual harassment during filming. She also accused him of retaliation after raising questions about his behavior. Lively then sued Baldoni, the film’s production company, Wayfarer Studios and others, claiming that they were involved in “a carefully created, coordinated and featured retaliation scheme to silence it and others to speak up.
A Baldoni lawyer called the allegations “completely false, outrageous and intentionally obscene” and accused excited to get involved in a defamation campaign.
In December, Baldoni sued the New York Times for defamation after the newspaper’s publication of an article detailing Lively’s accusations. Times, which was the first to report the complaint, defended their reports. This process is underway.
In January, he also filed a lawsuit against Lively, her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, his representative Leslie Sloane and Sloane’s public relations company. Baldoni claims that the parties were involved in defamation and disregarded contractual claims.
He is looking for $ 400 million and a jury trial.
A trial is scheduled for March 2026 in New York.
Swift was pulled on headlines about the case after Baldoni entered his 179 -page costume, which included examples of alleged text messages between him and lively.
Swift is not named in the process except a text message in which a “Taylor” is mentioned. In the text of the process, she is called “Megacelebrity Friend”.
Baldoni’s team confirmed to NBC News that Taylor referred to in the process is Swift, a longtime friend of Lively.
“If you already watch Game of Thrones, you will enjoy that I am Khaleesi and, like her, I have some dragons,” a supposed text of animated readings, according to the suit. “For the better or worse, but usually better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight. So, in fact, we all benefit from my beautiful monsters. You too, I can promise you.”
