The Democratic Party is wounded, impoverished, and increasingly desperate. Their geriatric leaders have an iron grip on the internal levers of power, even as a disillusioned electorate abandons them. Prominent donors are in a tailspin on how to make the party appealing again, spending millions of dollars to figure out how to reach young “desirable demographics”.
All of which means that, on paper, Zohran Mamdani is all of their dreams come true at once. He’s a young, photogenic candidate who’s just won an unlikely election victory with a campaign powered by huge youth enthusiasm, a fierce social media presence, and (judging by the results) the ability to draw votes from across multiple demographics.
The old Democratic Party tried to put me in jail (& failed) & is trying to shun me from the workforce bc I stood for Palestine & protected students from cops.
And here’s Zohran Kwame Mamdani (who also stood w Palestine) RT’ing me in my keffiyeh.

Unfortunately, the Democratic higher-ups did all they could to stop Mamdani, deciding the right candidate was Andrew Cuomo, a 69-year-old former governor forced to resign in disgrace in 2020 after multiple allegations he’d sexually assaulted his young female staff members. Despite that, Cuomo remained the establishment choice and, as per the polls, was the favorite right up until his crushing defeat.
Hmm, what lesson should we take from this?
The funny thing is that the same Democratic Party machine depicting Zohran as a communist actually operates like the old Soviet communist party – totalitarian top-down control, corrupt comrades protecting each other, all in service of the elderly anointed Dear Leaders pic.twitter.com/gLZgeM1dbT

You don’t have to be an Ivy League political strategist to take some obvious lessons from this. First up, voters are tired and resentful of awful scandal-ridden candidates backed only because “it’s their turn” or that they’ve simply stuck around long enough to be owed some favors. The second is that bland corporate centrism is deeply unpopular, and even those essentially forced to vote Dem to keep Republicans out hate it.
Zohran won. The DNC will now be opening portals to bring out everyone they got to make sure he doesn’t win in November. pic.twitter.com/pKNPJHYtNW

Meanwhile, Mamdani’s populist centrism has just objectively proved popular with voters. He’s unapologetically progressive, with his core policies a rent freeze and a programme to make traveling on city buses free. Y’know, stuff that’s easily understandable, relatable to normal people, and will directly improve their lives – things that win votes!
And, importantly, Mamdani being pro-Palestine and not willing to bow the knee to Israel wasn’t a barrier to electoral success, despite a well-funded smear campaign seeking to paint him as a holocaust-loving antisemite.
if the DNC wasn’t controlled opposition they’d start a zohran cloning program and put 100 of him all over the country but no they’re going down with the israelis and the sex pests

Sadly, we doubt DNC higher-ups want to face reality or win elections. They’d much rather be smugly wrong, cling to power, watch Republicans alter the country forever (in ways they quietly approve of no less), and stuff their bank accounts with infinite corporate and lobbying firm donations.
Mamdani will probably end up disappointing many of his supporters as the reality of office means making decisions that won’t please everyone. But, for now, he’s laid out a blueprint for a new generation of Democrats to revive the moribund party and transform it into something that can obliterate MAGA and reassemble the shattered nation.
But, make no mistake, the ghouls and vampires that run the Dems will do literally everything in their power to stop any candidate trying to follow in his footsteps. After all, they’d prefer irrelevance and fascism to supporting a *shudder* socialist.
